When this place first opened, it was terrible. The staff didn't seem to care that much (meaning the waiters) that we were waiting fifteen minutes just to get a drink order so we ended up leaving. My family and I understood this was a new restaurant so we decided to wait a few months before trying again. It. Was. Worth. The. Wait. No joke. Under the new management it became many times better. The food is fantastic. We got the Pad Thai and I couldn't believe the proportions! They were huge! And wow was the food tasty! I will be coming back here again, again, and again.

"Who's the fella owns this shit hole" a line from The Unforgiven kind of sums it up. Whoever he is, he needs a little chin music. This is the WORST Thai restaurant I have had the misfortune to order food in. I wouldn't actually call what was brought to the table food. It wasn't edible. I didn't even save it for my dogs. I lived in Thailand for a year. I know how Thai food tastes. It's never Bangkok being in the U.S. but some places cook food that can get close. This IS NOT one of them My moll and I didn't eat the entrees. We choked down part of the combination appetizer tray. The only thing palatable was the bottle of beer I had. Likely because the kitchen here didn't have access to it. The ankle who waited on us was decent, attentive and accurate until we told her the food was pathetic after which she took a powder. She did take a couple bucks off the bill. We slipped her a fin, not her fault the food is like throwing up in your mouth a little bit. But as for how bad the food is, she didn't want to hear dat. When we were robbed of $27.00 hard earned for a dinner we could not eat the broad taking our moolah said she knew the food wasn't very good. We told her it was terrible, she said yeah, it's been better here. She told us the Thai cook had scrammed outta here when his wife had a baby and the person trying to cook currently does not know how to cook Thai food. Not hard to figure that's not bunk if you chew any of it. I ordered a combination appetizer tray and Bangkok Fried Rice with shrimp. My squeeze had some unrecognizable noodle dish and could not eat it. The appetizer tray is comprised of four items and two sauces. Satay Chicken which was marginal but I came in hungry and ate it. Crab puffs, that were stale and greasy. Spring Rolls saturated in grease, not fresh and not edible. And some dog food called "Heaven" that smelled like the North end of a Southbound cow and was not edible. The so called "Peanut Sauce" was some over sweet greasy mess, the sweet and sour sauce equally displeasing. The Bangkok Fried Rice was dry and tasted bad. It had to be outdated rice from the second hand store to taste that bad. The shrimp in it was old old old and had that way way too long out of the sea smell and taste. You know that smell, when you kept it to long and now you have to throw it out. After you toss it you notice the stray cats in the neighborhood didn't eat it either. It was like that. And the vegetables had to have been out of a can or maybe left over from last month.. I didn't eat it. The noodles in the noodle dish whatever it was were gooey and totally over cooked. They smeared together like clay mud on a bad road during a rainstorm. The hot tea wasn't bad. $27.00 is a lot of money for two cups of American tea and a beer. DON'T EAT HERE! If you risk it anyway listen carefully .. can you hear me laughing at you for being a patsy? I'm nobody's weak sister. I didn't make this shit up. Tighten the screws on this joint! Don't spend your money here. It's got pretty wrappings, but it's a dive. If you really want decent Thai food you have to drive to Kennewick. WA. They got it there, The Bangkok Restaurant.

We couldn't believe our luck finding this place! Just in town for one night and I was worried we would get stuck in another steak and potatoes or burger place. I just wish the Thai place closest to my house was this good! We were seated quickly on a Friday night, service was prompt and very friendly. My husband ordered Thai iced tea and spicy fried rice with prawns, which were both fantastic. Note-our idea of medium spiciness was very, very HOT! One bite of his dish and my nose was running! I ordered a ginger veggie stir fry with vegetables, it was divine. Large portions, we had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. We shared a fried ice cream which was very delicious with coconut ice cream in the center of a crispy shell covered in whipped cream and a cherry. The food was very fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was much nicer than your average Thai place, an old, historical building with exposed brick wall, antiques, old custom woodwork, lots of comfortable booths. Very comfortable and classy setting. The bill was lower than we would have expected. It was so memorable that when driving home from Idaho a week later I made a stop in La Grande for lunch and was not dissapointed!

Just opened when I went. Server's had been hired the day before they opened. Thai and Vietnamese food. No beer, no juice, no soda. Was in a party of 5 and each dish came out 5 min apart. Actually tried to come on a Friday night to find a handwritten note on the front door saying they were closed just for the night. My food ended up being so so. Bottom line its so so food and don't go if you are in a hurry or want to eat at the same time.

Party of four had lunch portion of Pad Thai with shrimp, Cashew nut stir fry and Green Curry (both with chicken) and Drunken Noodles with pork. Server was professional and pleasant. Lunch was served with hot tea. Bill was mid-$30's. Food was good and generous portions for lunch.

The food is absolutely delicious!!!! The service can be so-so sometimes. The interior is really beautiful. Definitely my new favorite restaurant in LaGrande.

When I heard there was a new Thai restaurant in La Grande I new we'd eventually make it over that way. A month later, we did. The interior is large, dark, and tastefully decorated. There were rows of booths and an isle of tables down the middle. Unfortunately, we were seated at a table as it looked like the booths were all occupied or waiting for a busing. Our waitress was quick to come over for orders, but we definitely needed additional time to look over the extensive menu. By the time she returned with our drinks, we were set though. My Thai iced tea and Beef Red Curry were fantastic. Just the right amount of portion, a good helping of beef, and they left the eggplant out just as requested. I was surprised that they actually made a decent effort to make it "as spicy as possible". While still not the 5 alarm, can no longer feel your tongue level I love, it was pretty good. My boyfriends green avocado curry was interesting, but very tasty. Our shared order of "Heaven" appetizer was also interestingly edible. Described as ground chicken and green onions fried into a tortilla shell, we really weren't sure what was coming. What arrived at our table was something very similar to fried wontons, but thicker and chewier. The peanut dipping sauce was a great topper. I wish we had had room left for a mango sticky rice dessert, but we were well stuffed. With how impressed we were, there is no doubt there will be a next time, and we will leave room for dessert!

We really enjoy the food here and the sushi is pretty darn good. I like that we can order from both this restaurant and the Golden Crown side. We try to visit whenever we are in town.

This place is legit. The Pad Thai was amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes good Thai food.

Food was good. Lots of veggies in the chow mien, which is a good thing, but really scarce on the chicken. My gf had beef pho and it tasted traditional. The hot and sour soup was delicious and they have small servings, which I love. If you don't order when you sit down, expect to wait another fifteen before anyone comes back to take your order. Also took fifteen minutes to bring us water and hot tea. Not from around here so don't know if this is normal in this part of Oregon.

They have a good variety of food here. You can even order from the Chinese/Japanese side. The cuisine is delicious! However if you are ordering Thai expect a wait. The kitchen is S-L-O-W!!

Beautiful interior! The menu was laid it simply so that it wasn't cumbersome. I ordered the heaven starter and the golden duck curry. The heaven plate was... Heaven! And I'm still hungry for more of that peanut sauce! 5 out of 5! The golden duck curry... Was delicious! But felt played down from tradition... It was beautifully balanced tasted great! But it was more sweet than hot, so if your new so curry based foods it's a great dish to start out on! The duck was rich and tender, and the pineapple was a nice acidic surprise! Like I said well balanced, tasted great! I will come back.... ALLOT!

Arrived at 12:35 and was passed by 3 different waitresses several times. After several minutes one asked if I had been helped yet and when I said "No" she said she'd be back in a minute. A few minutes later another asked if the other girl had helped me yet and I said she mentioned she'd be back in a minute. The second waitress said ok and walked off. 2 other sets of people came in and the second waitress ignored me and sat both sets of people. The original waitress finally came back and asked what I wanted. I asked if there was a reason I wasn't being seated and she said she was sorry and they were just busy. There were only 10 tables seated for such a large place. She then pointed to an empty corner and told me I had the option of 2 tables. I picked one and was seated with a menu, and the waitress walked off. Several minutes passed and never saw the waitress again. Finally got up and walked out after being there a total of 25 minutes with no drink or food order taken. Don't try to go here on your lunch hour.
